Mr. Peter Steffen, the Head of Engineering says, "We are pleased to announce that we have recently installed our first FMS (Flexible Manufacturing System) cell designed to connect with four 5-Axis vertical milling machines.
The FMS capability will affect OEE positively, where productivity will increase by over 300% through improved machine utilisation and a reduction in resource requirements.
Robust documentation, tooling, fixturing and program management systems will also provide Senior Aerospace Thailand with a further technological advantage over its competitors that will benefit our customers and us the same. This, along with the multiple pallet system will allow for greater flexibility, where all components can be machined in any of the four machines, and all using only one operator.”
